ContiTech Presents Printing Blanket Innovations at the drupa Print Media Trade Show
CONTI-AIR® shows off innovations in the field of large-format sheet-fed offset printing / High-speed printing and larger formats are the current challenges

At booth 6A 77 in hall 6, printing blanket manufacturer ContiTech is presenting its highlights for large-format sheet-fed printing and metal printing at the drupa 2012 print media trade show (May 3-16 in Düsseldorf). These include the new printing blankets CONTI-AIR® 7PLUS and CONTI-AIR® UV PLUS. "There is an unmistakable trend in the market to large-format machines and offset printing," explains Rodolfo Stephanus, head of sales for CONTI-AIR® at ContiTech Elastomer Coatings. "The high speeds and larger sheet formats place much higher demands on the printing blankets - but both of these products are more than up to the challenge." ContiTech's motto at the trade show is "Print to perfection".
For high-volume print shops: CONTI-AIR® 7PLUS
The CONTI-AIR® 7PLUS printing blanket is the perfect choice for excellent halftone printing and solid color printing - both for conventional inks and, in some cases, also for UV inks. "The new low-migration inks require a cover plate compound that ensures optimum ink transfer even at high speed without jeopardizing its good quick release properties," says Rodolfo Stephanus. "The special design of this printing blanket allows us to meet the requirements of large-format packaging, publishing and metal print shops."
For UV printing: CONTI-AIR® UV PLUS
The CONTI-AIR® UV PLUS printing blanket is ideal for large-format sheet-fed offset printing machines in the field of pure UV printing. Thanks to a special rubber cover plate made of EPDM, it offers optimized resistance to swelling when used with UV inks or UV washing agents. This results in extremely sharp halftone printing and smooth solid color printing, reduced vibration stripes and high dimensional stability.
