CLS Communication has acquired 4-Text Software-Lokalisierung und technische Übersetzungen GmbH, a Berlin-based quality provider of technical documentation, effective 1 January 2013. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The former owners of the company will support the integration phase for an agreed period.
Like CLS Communication, 4-Text was founded in 1997. The company has more than 60 highly qualified employees and works with a network of select external partners. All internal and external employees have a technical university degree and/or industry-specific expertise. The technology platform developed by 4-Text is tailored to the requirements of industrial clients and to technical documentation.
While CLS and 4-Text have comparable business models, the two companies are an excellent complement to one another in terms of client base, industry focus and geographical area of activity. 4-Text will now operate in the market under the new name CLS 4-Text GmbH. Marie-Laure Vinckx, current CEO, will continue to head the company.
