- arvato Systems data centers obtain BSI certification
- Information security is an integral part of the corporate culture
arvato Systems Business Services GmbH decided to subscribe to the high standards of IT baseline protection certification from the BSI to be able to better meet the current requirements in the information security sector. An information security management system (ISMS) was quickly established and the accompanying IT operation was classified as fit for certification in line with the required standards. After the BSI auditors completed the procedure with a final quality check, arvato Systems subsequently received the ISO 27001-compliant certificate in mid-February, which is based on BSI requirements for IT baseline protection.
“Obtaining BSI certification is so important to our company. We are delighted. This certificate is one of the key indicators for our customers when it comes to information security in German data centers,” explains Birger T. Aasland, General Manager of arvato Systems Business Services GmbH.
It serves as proof that arvato Systems, as an IT service provider, has implemented information security measures that have been defined by the BSI as an extremely high, established standard for IT baseline protection. This allows new customers and partners to directly view the degree of IT security offered by an IT service provider. Lengthy audits are therefore no longer required and later risks to IT security are significantly reduced.
The BSI auditor emphasized that information security was taken very seriously at arvato Systems and was established as an integral part of the corporate culture.
