SOM-9890 offers high performance and outstanding graphics capabilities, and featuring three independent multiple display combinations, abundant high speed I/Os and extensible interfaces up to PCIe x16 Gen 3. SOM-9890 is an ideal solution for applications such as medical, gaming, telecom, and digital signage.
Superior Performance & Flexibility for Computing Applications
Advantech's SOM-9890 incorporates a 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor with integrated PCH (QM77) providing amazing performance, plus enhanced media and graphics capabilities. Moreover, SOM-9890 allows customers to adopt various CPUs to meet different applications with the most desired performance. SOM-9890 is a socket type (rPGA988) COM Express Type6 module for the following processor variants: Intel® Core™ i7-3610QE (2.30 GHz, 6M Cache, Quad Core & TDP 45W), Intel® Core™ i5-3610ME (2.7 GHz, 4M Cache, DualCore & TDP 35W), Intel® Core™ i3-3120ME (2.4 GHz, 3M Cache, DualCore & TDP 35W) and Intel® Celeron 1020E (2.2 GHz, 2M Cache, DualCore & TDP 35W) processors. The Intel® Core processor utilizes an advanced 22nm process technology for improved power consumption and efficiency. It also supports wide-range voltage operation (4.75~20V) for implementation in any application or customer-specific carrier boards.
Symmetrical Displays for Intensive Graphic Processing
This platform supports three independent displays for graphics-intensive applications requiring high performance to support 2D & 3D graphic processing with large and high definition panels. Intel® HD Graphics 4000 platform supports graphics APIs, such as DX11.1, OpenCL 1.1 and OpenGL 4.0, with enhanced media and graphics capabilities and 3D performance. Customers have three independent display configurations such as 3 x DisplayPorts or DisplayPort+HDMI +HDMI, etc.; either in clone or extended modes.
Advantech iManager 2.0 and SUSIAccess
Advantech iManager, included with SOM-9890, provides a valuable suite of programmable APIs such as multi-level watchdog, hardware monitor, smart fan, brightness control and more; all with user-friendly interfaces. It also comes with Advantech's SUSIAccess software bundled for system integrators to remotely centralize monitoring and management of all their embedded devices—it can even recover them if they fail.
