NFG-1 Standard Frequency Generator with GPS synchronisation

(PresseBox) Dresden, 28.11.2008, The device synchronises several measurement devices at the same location via 1 PPS signals delivered by a built-in GPS receiver.

A holdover circuit ensures high stability of the 1 PPS and 10 MHz signal in case of GPS reception loss.

One 1 PPS BNC output is provided at the front panel. LEDs signalize the quality of GPS reception and the state of the frequency standard.

The GPS antenna input with switchable bias voltage for active antennas is fed through to a GPS antenna output for other GPS devices located at the same site.

Six SUB-D 9 connectors fitted at the rear side, provide the 1 PPS signal (CMOS logic level) and GPS NMEA Sentences (RS 232) for external equipment.

The NFG-1 is manufactured and distributed by VAD GmbH. Customer specific adaptations of the hard- and firmware can be rapidly developed on demand.
