Texim Europe introduces Pico-I/O Small USB Stacking I/O Product Line

Pico-I/O board from ACCES I/O

(PresseBox) Quickborn, 01.03.2010, Texim Europe is now offering specialized Pico-I/O boards from ACCES I/O for dual use stacking and star configured wired I/O applications for quick and easy integration in both new and existing systems. A Pico-I/O module is an I/O expansion module designed to stack on a Single Board Computer (SBC) supporting the SUMIT (Stackable Unified Module Interconnect Technology) Interface. A Pico-I/O module is one half the PCB area of PC/104 (60mm x 72mm) supporting one or two 52-pin, high-speed connectors capable of supporting serial I/O interfaces such as PCI Express (PCIe), USB or slower LPC separately defined by the independent SUMIT Interconnect Specification of the Small Form Factor consortium. The USB OEM version called USB/PICO are hot-swappable for quick connect or disconnect in mobile or stationary systems and all USB/PICO boards feature high-retention USB Micro B connector or micro header for use in rugged industrial and military environments with any embedded computer with a USB port.

The Pico-I/O boards from ACCES I/O feature: a SUMIT stacking connector, 16-channel TTL/LVTTL digital I/O buffered with 32mA sink/source current capabilities, 8 Form C 1A electro-mechanical relays, up to 4 I/O expansion boards in SUMIT stack, custom high-speed function driver, a version with USB wired connectivity and, optional, an extended temperature version.
