S&T wins major healthcare project in Moldova
Modernization of seven hospitals throughout the country
(PresseBox) Vienna, 03.11.2009,
S&T was chosen by the Moldovan Ministry of Health to provide seven hospitals with state-of-the-art medical equipment. The Moldovan health sector has improved immensely over the last years but there is still demand for modern instruments. S&T implemented an innovative imaging system and handles its servicing and as well as the training of the medical staff.
The government of Moldova initiated a program aimed at the modernization of hospitals throughout the country, in order to increase the level of healthcare services. The goal is to further develop the quality of the Moldovan health system.
S&T Moldova implemented an innovative solution based on high quality healthcare standards and also runs maintenance services throughout the country. As partner of Philips Healthcare, S&T Moldova supplied the hospitals with DuoDiagnost systems – a combination of radiography, tomography and fluoroscopy. The hospitals benefit from its comprehensive clinical multi-functionality, thus being able to handle more medical checkups in one cycle. This on the other hand enables hospitals to offer patients better medical treatments and save costs and time.
As part of the project S&T Moldova delivered and installed the equipment, and provided a comprehensive training program for the medical staff of the hospitals. Maintenance servicing of the implemented solution is also covered by S&T.
“This large project strengthens S&T´s position in the CEE healthcare business. We supported the Moldovan Ministry of Health to develop standards in healthcare and therefore assisted the public health sector on its path to European standards”, comments Christian Rosner, CEO S&T Group.
