New: ICY BOX IB-290/390 StUS-B – external enclosure for HDDs with docking station

(PresseBox) Ahrensburg, 07.04.2008, Users of an additional hard drive-disk who employ greater amounts of data on several PCs which are not interconnected in a network will instantly appreciate this combination of an external enclosure and a docking station. The outstanding features: easy and convenient handling, fast data transfer, and secure transport.

The docking station ensures the workplace is neat and tidy – no extra space, no extra cable is needed beside your PC. The SATA-interface on the mainboard – or the extension card - is good for transfer rates up to 3 Gbit/sec.
Push a button on the front of the docking station and the enclosure gently slides out. The even surface - with discharged outputs for USB and eSATA - delivers convenience and reliability.
Mounting the HDD into the enclosure is perfectly easy. Two – as well discharged clips – have to be turned out, and you can draw the carrier out of the enclosure. It holds an HDD either of the SATA-1 or the SATA-2 type. Mount the HDD with two clips, push the carrier into the enclosure, lock it with the first two clips – done.
The solid aluminium enclosure contributes to the security of the hard drive disk. Additionally it has a cooling effect – fan unnecessary, and – third – it causes the precious haptic appearance, supporting the clear and functional design. Functional and simple, too, are the two LEDs which indicate power supply and HDD use.
Bottom line: a typical ICY BOX product. Purposeful, easy to use and good looking. Not talking about the attractive pricing.
