Space-saving 16-bit All Flash(TM) MCUs with USB 2.0 functionality and ultra-low power consumption

(PresseBox) Stutensee (Germany), 22.02.2010, Twelve new 16bit All Flash(TM) microcontrollers with onchip USB 2.0 controller from NEC Electronics now broaden Gleichmann Electronics' product offering. The new MCUs feature a power consumption of just 0.37 µA in stop mode and 6.4 mA at 20 MHz operating frequency.

MCUs of the USB 78K0R/Kx3-L series are available with up to 128 KB flash and are provided in spacesaving 48pin or 64pin TQFP packages (7 mm × 7 mm × 1.0 mm). Furthermore, even smaller versions - in 64pin BGA or 48pin QFN packages - are available if needed.

In addition to USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) certified MCUs, NEC Electronics offers USB 2.0 drivers for a wide range of tasks. Starter kits with USB evaluation boards, complete development environments and sample software are scheduled to be available during the first quarter of 2010 from Gleichmann Electronics.
