THE POWERHOUSE stands on Schmidt revolution
The Golf V GTI innately equipped with lively 200 hp was subjected to a software optimization by STO-chip tuning. The 70-mm-system in the R32 design stems from the company Friedrich Motorsport Lichtenfels in Bavaria, and the company HG Motorsport from Lübeck is responsible for the modified intake (RFI Air Intake). As the Golf V GTI 2.0 TFSI engine is used, a power of 275 hp is achieved. The powerhouse also features an OEM R32 rear apron, an AP travelling gear and an all-in-one Kenwood DNX520VBT navigation system. All parts including lips, side skirts and rear apron are painted in body color, of course.
But what is all the power, if the connection between vehicle and the road is not optimized in the best way? And now the firm SCHMIDT GmbH from BadSegeberg comes into play. The Golf V GTI presented here is equipped with Schmidt revolution19-inch Gotham wheels. In detail this means: 8,5 x19 inches ET 45 at the front side and 9x19 inches ET45 on the rear axle with 225/35R19 all-round Marangoni M-power. The custom-built wheels for the GTI version are foiled as i-points on the front side.
