Taking into account operating capabilities, it is obvious that this vehicle is a car with a surplus power. When the vehicle is picked up at VÄTH Automobiltechnik in Hoesbach near Aschaffenburg, there is only one single comment: "Take it for a spin first, than we'll talk in 10 days". Don't let me say it twice...Well...just get in and press the start button. The beast has awakened under the bonnet. A V8 engine with a compressor system and fascinating sound: it sounds like something like crashes and roars - we hope your neighbors are tolerant people! After stepping on the gas pedal, it's like a "ride on a cannon ball" - the C-Class leaps forward like a wild animal that is targeting at the first meal after 14 days of starving.
We are in the cockpit of a C63 AMG Coupé again which was subject to additional power increase by VÄTH and is coming along with an irresistible power of 680 hp, 840 Nm of torque, an acceleration from zero to 100 km / h takes only 4 seconds and a - oh yeah don't forget to get a new tires after! - flat-out at 335 km / h. V63Supercharged is the name of the tuning kit which includes the individual fine-tuning of engine electroincs as well as a compressor system with VÄTH water intercooling system. By the way, oil in engine and gearbox is protected by a special cooling system against possible overheating. With this power, it goes almost impeccably given that there is a high-performance brake system with 380-mm rotors at VA installed essentially. Castrol SRF brake oil is optimum for braking efficiency with the steel braided lines, according to the report issued by TÜV,. The exhaust system together with its manifold consists of VA stainless steel and the sport end muffler at a throttle control.
A visible carbon front spoiler and a visible carbon-fiber rear diffuser with enlarged fins improve the aerodynamics. The aforementioned improvements give the car sporty and elegant look. To improve the stability (at high speeds), VÄTH developed carbon fender for the rear axle which allows widening the track by 80mm. The boot is decorated with an additional lip named Gurney.
Let's talk about the traction between the car and the asphalt. Three-spike 9x20 inch VÄTH forged rims with 255/30-20 tires at VA or 11x20 inch rims with 295/25-20 tires at the rear are the ultimate grip problem solver. The coupe is especially enjoyable in curves. There is a Clubsport - coilover suspension allowing lowering within 20-65 mm. When installed, it is possible to adjust the height and hardness resulting in an optimal and safe handling while maintaining comfort.
Optional: The sports steering wheel covered in leather can optionally be installed with wood or carbon applications. The speedometer extension to 360 km / h is another VÄTH Supercharged improvement. That leaves the carbon interior of the processing pedal lack. Highest processing precision and perfect fitting by VÄTH are just an indespensable must-be option! One thing is certain, the driver will be overtaken by gray reality right after they get out of this amazing car ...like me!
The V63 Supercharged behaves in city traffic like a "normal" car, it sneaks slightly angry from one traffic light to another one. On the highway the things are completely different; the car turns into a street legal racing machine which makes the above-mentioned sports cars characteristics pretty usable. The complete tuning price (without car) is really a minor matter in this context, it's just: 64, 308 EUR!
