Kamran Tahbazian named Head of Research and Development at TRUMPF Medical Systems
After studying physical engineering with a focus on medical technology at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Germany, Tahbazian began his career in 1991 in European sales for MEDAP Medical Apparatus GmbH. He then became International Product Manager for surgical lights at Heraeus Med, before moving on to head the telemedicine business at Maquet.
In 2003 he joined the TRUMPF Group as Global Marketing Director for the Medical Systems division, with responsibility for the company’s global marketing activities and for product management. For the last one and a half years, Tahbazian was also Senior Sales Executive for the Middle East and Africa regions as well as for Italy and Turkey.
