SCAC and Aviastar-SP develop cooperation in the Sukhoi Superjet 100 Program
The Aviastar-SP has allocated a dedicated workspace in a hangar to conduct the interior installation on 4 SSJ100 simultaneously. Beginning from MSN 95017 the interiors for SCAC customers will be mounted at this facility by a team of specialists, trained and qualified by SCAC to perform the procedure.
"We believe that the cooperation between SCAC and Aviastar-SP, which has a great experience in the aircraft assembly, will help to ramp up the SSJ100 production. The Aviastar interior mount facility will become an important part of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 Program production chain", noted SCAC President Vladimir Prisyazhnyuk.
"It is important for us to diversify the product and service range of Aviastar-SP through the participation in cooperation related to the modern UAC products. It will pave the way to effective the use our high potential in terms of both production capacities and skilled personnel", said Aviastar-SP Director General Sergey Dementiev.
Since July 2011 Spektr-Avia located at the Aviastar-SP territory has performed painting of the SSJ100 aircraft aimed for delivery to the SCAC customers. It has already painted seven production aircraft (MSN from 95010 to 95016).
Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) is a 100 seat regional jet designed, developed and built by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC), in partnership with Alenia Aermacchi. On May 19th 2008 SSJ100 successfully accomplished its first flight. The Sukhoi Superjet 100 cruises at a Maximum Operating Speed of Mach 0.81 and 40,000 feet. It takes off from a 1,731 meters runway in the basic range and 2,052 meters in the long range. The operating range for the basic version is 3,048 km and 4,578 km for the long range version. In February 2011, the SSJ100 obtained the Type Certificate by the Russian Certification Authority IAC AR. On April 19th 2011 first production SSJ100 was delivered to Armavia airlines (Armenia). In February 2012, the SSJ100 obtained the EASA Type Certificate. By the end of April 2012 eight SSJ100s in service with Armavia and Aeroflot accumulated over 7,000 flight hours in more than 3,600 revenue flights.

Ulyanovsk-based aircraft production plant, a part of the United Aircraft Building Corporation, is a modern enterprise to produce civil and transport aircraft. Its production facilities have a wide range of technological processes and high quality equipment. Aviastar-SP produces and serves the Tupolev Tu-204 aircraft family and carries out the new project on production of the large transport aircraft Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A. The company also performs MRO and essential modernization of the Antonov An-124 aircraft.
