AUREA lunch the first all-in-one time-resolved NIR single photon counter at Photonics West 2012

(PresseBox) (San Francisco, ) AUREA Technology is launching at Photonics West 2012, the newly design SPD_AT, the first all-in-one" high-performance NIR time-resolved single photon counting module for Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) applications.

The SPD_AT is an ultra-low-noise, high quantum efficiency and low timing jitter near infrared [900 - 1700 nm] single photon counter with 50 ps timing correlation feature. The SPD_AT includes a Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode and thermoelectric coolers that ensure high detection efficiency up to 25 per cent, a very low dark count rate <5.10-6 per ns gate, and a low timing jitter <180ps.

The SPD_AT is a very compact 'all-in-one' TCSPC single photon counter. It comes with its easy-to-use and ergonomic GUI compatible with LabView and C++. A dual version, the SDP_AT_M2, with two photon detectors is also available. The SPD_AT time-resolved single photon counter family is suitable for use in fluorescence lifetime, photoluminescence, spectroscopy and time correlated single photon counting applications.
