ROPA takes over WM- Kartoffeltechnik - The beet specialist ROPA enters the potato harvest market
ROPA expanded it's product range to the potato technology, 2-axle beet harvester is under development
Motivated by his passion for agriculture Hermann Paintner takes a further step in expanding the product range in the sector of root crop harvest. This step was wanted for a long time and is advanced by developer and CEO Hermann Paintner with highest personal effort. The take-over of the second-largest brand of German potato technology offers especially for ROPA potato customers several benefits. By products of highest technical level, they will benefit firstly from the service network of the world market leader in the manufacture and sale of self-propelled sugar beet harvest-, cleaning- and loading-equipment. The WM sales and service center in Moenchengladbach will be a service station for potato machines in the north and a spare parts storage for potato machinery. Sales management for potato equipment will be moved to Sittelsdorf. In Sittelsdorf will be established a development and research department for future ROPA potato harvesters. The developer team consists of previous engineers of WM-Kartoffeltechnik together with ROPA engineers.
Development and improvement of potato harvesters together with leading farmers
Proven solutions in the sugar beet harvest will now be transferred to potato technology. Together with selected farmers in the potato cultivation, single- and double row potato harvesting machines will be developed in direct interaction with the practical use. Of particular advantage is, that a part of the developer team is derived from farms with potatoes.
In autumn 2013 the first ROPA potato harvester will be presented. Like in the beet market, ROPA wants to offer it's clients a comprehensive customer support, from a competent and comprehensive sales consulting, driver training, an support direct on the field.
On the way to Full-Liner in sugar beet harvest - 2 axle ROPA beet harvester is in development
ROPA machines have a good reputation, it are reliable, durable and value-resistant to meet the demand and the needs of the market, ROPA is currently developing a 2-axle beet harvester, for small field structures or for use as a overloading beet harvester. If everything goes according to plan, ROPA presents the new 2-axle already to Beet Europe on 17. October in Seligenstadt, but no later than the ROPA house demonstration in November. The new 2-axle joins by name in the family of wildcats. The name is ROPA euro-Panther. Numerous detailed solutions for optimal harvest, gentle beets handling and even better fuel economy will be highlights. A newly constructed drive concept with extremely large wheels will set new standards in the market.
Event note: Traditional ROPA house show with exhibition on Sunday 18th November
The traditional ROPA Beet demonstration will be this year on Sunday 18. November, on the field next to the ROPA factory in Sittelsdorf. These practical demonstrations are always in 2-year rotation, held alternately with the Agritechnica. A special highlight in this year will be Hermann Painters first self-made beet harvester (built 1972) - working in the field.
