Lippke/MOCON announces permeation, sterile medical packaging conferences

(PresseBox) (Neuwied, ) Two new one-day packaging conferences have been announced by Paul Lippke Handels-GmbH, Neuwied, Germany, a wholly-owned division of MOCON, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOCO), Minneapolis, Minn., USA.


The Latest Developments and Future Trends in Permeation Measurement (22 March) and Avoiding Failures in Sterile Medical Packaging (23 March) will be held at the Schloss Montabaur in Montabaur, Germany.

"As a leading provider of permeation measurement and package testing instrumentation, Lippke is well-versed in the latest package testing technology and is ideally suited to provide training seminars in these subject areas," said Franz Sturm, managing director, Lippke.

The permeation measurement event will include the following topics: basics and trends; a review of ASTM standards; shelf-life studies; high-barrier plastic films; high-temperature testing; quality results; and rapid food safety tests for bacterial detection.

The sterile medical program will provide an overview of sterile medical packaging and a review of package testing options, including a demonstration workshop. Several legal/regulatory topics will be covered including integrity testing as an alternative to sterility testing and ISO 11607 testing standards.
