Philips Moda Monitor awarded for outstanding Design
Philips Monitor receives iF award 2012

MMD today announced that the new Philips Moda line of Monitors were selected for the prestigious iF Design award for 2012. As "seal of good design", the iF award honors outstanding achievements in design. MMD, the company behind Philips monitors, introduced the two monitors that combine leading edge technology with stunning design to the market this summer.
"We've received an overwhelming response from our customers for the unique combination of design and performance of the Moda Monitors" said Thomas Schade Vice-President Europe at MMD. "This recognition by iF reconfirms our commitment to design innovation."
With their super-slender bodies and their ultra-stable, sleek aluminium die-cast bases the two 24" and 21.5" inch widescreen Philips Moda monitors exudes exquisite craftsmanship that underpins their tag line "Design and Performance perfected to an art". The Philips brand promise of "sense and simplicity" has been adhered to religiously. Furthermore, the two-tone glossy finish makes them a real attraction on the desk or in the living room. Broad connectivity with 2 HDMI ports, a fast response time of only 2 ms, and innovative features like SmartTxt and SmartKolor for better viewing experience makes the Moda the ideal platform for experiencing the best of today's entertainment.
An internationally renowned jury, consisting of 44 design experts, have engaged in a critical discussion and debate to select the winning products. Out of 4,322 entries submitted by 1,605 participants from 48 countries, the jury of the iF product design award has selected their 1218 favourites as the best designs for 2012.
All prize-winning products will be presented at the iF design exhibition in Hanover, Germany from March 6 until the 10th, 2012 and in Hamburg the second half of 2012. On February 10, 2012 the awards ceremony will take place in Munich, Germany where the 100 Gold Award Winners will be announced. More information can be found at www.ifdesign.de.
