New Miele flatwork ironer: live premiere in Germany
A host of innovations at the Miele 'Texcare 2012' trade show booth

During the forthcoming Texcare 2012 trade show in Frankfurt, visitors will be able to witness the new Miele generation of flatwork ironers in action for the first time in Germany: One of the new Professional flatwork ironers able to cope with more than 200 kg of laundry per hour will be in regular operation. Miele will also be presenting its latest washing and drying technology at the stand. Equipment will, for example, include the WetCare aqueous cleaning system which has now been on the market for 20 years. The stand in Hall 8, Booth G 70 awaits visitors from May 5-9 with further innovations in the field of economic and sustainable laundry care.
With the new generation of flatwork ironers, Miele Professional is for the first time offering its clients machines able to iron more than a tonne of laundry per day. These machines will be available with four working widths ranging from 2.10 m to 3.50 m and with roller diameters of 60 or 80 cm with a choice of three different heating systems. The new, large touch display is particularly convenient, allowing flexible and safe control of ironing parameters. At the Miele stand, service staff will be on site to present the broad range of customisation options, including an optional higher contact pressure to ensure that multi-ply garments are ironed fast.
The Miele WetCare aqueous system will also be in the lime-light at the stand as it is this year celebrating 20 years in the marketplace. The system is now deployed on the third generation of washer-extractors and tumble dryers. Garments, previously considered non-washable, are washed and dried perfectly in a water-based system which has now become an integral part of modern textile care. Visitors can experience the latest WetCare technologies live as featured on washer-extractors with a 5.5 kg to 32 kg load capacity. With short cycle times and low water and energy consumption, this technology cuts costs and goes easy on natural resources.
Miele's new H2O dryers, also on display at Texcare, represent a significant contribution towards sustainable laundry care. This product will go on sale at the end of the year. The machines are heated using hot water produced by co-generation plants or supplied by district heating systems. In the case of a plentiful supply of hot water, heating costs on the H2O tumble dryer are virtually non-existent.
