New back-thinned CCD camera with highest quantum efficiency for UV-VIS and NIR imaging

Hamamatsu Photonics new C8000-30 CCD camera offers UV-VIS-NIR imaging at extremely high sensitivity. In the UV range, the proprietary Hamamatsu manufactured back-thinned CCD achieves a Quantum Efficiency (QE) in excess of 60%, whilst in the near infrared region, the QE is over 90%.
A fill factor of 100% leads to a highly efficient operation for applications such as mask inspection in UV lithography and characterisation of optics.
The wide spectral sensitivity up to the near infrared range (1200nm) make the C8000-30 suitable for applications such as inspection of Si semiconductor components. The linear characteristics, a resolution of 640x480 pixels with a high frame rate of more than 31 fps, allows for even the most demanding of quantitative measurements including fast dynamic phenomenas. A dynamic range of 3000:1 A/D converted with 12bits allows for the detection of minor intensity differences.
Standard C-mount thread and CameraLink interface make for easy implementation into existing hardware and IT environments.
The C8000-30 is a compact and robust camera, ideally suited for scientific and industrial applications in continuous operation.
