AREVA and Technip to work on solar thermal (CSP) applications for oil and gas industry

(PresseBox) (Paris, ) AREVA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Technip, a leader in project management, to work on integrated Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) solutions for oil and gas industry.


The AREVA group will provide its CSP technology based on proprietary Compact Linear Fresnel Reflector (CLFR) solution for enhanced oil recovery through steam injection for oil and gas industry, enabling countries to increase their energy capital. AREVA also offers energy solutions for the design, construction and commissioning of stand-alone solar thermal plants, power augmentation for conventional or hybrid power plants.

Technip will bring its world-class expertise and project management experience in oil and gas-rich countries and markets which will also bring value to AREVA's operations and commercial initiatives.
