Analysys Mason welcomes new head of operational consulting based in Dubai

Analysys Mason (www.analysysmason.com) welcomes Erik Almqvist, who joins as Partner and Global Head of Operational Consulting based in Dubai.
Erik's role at Analysys Mason will be to further strengthen the company's operational consulting service helping clients around the globe to enhance operational functions and deliver measurable improvements in performance.
Erik has 20 years of management consulting experience, having started his career in 1992 with Arkwright, a spin-off from Bain and Co in London. In 1999 Erik founded Sense Strategy, a telecommunications advisory firm operating in the UK and Scandinavia. In 2006, Erik joined Arthur D. Little as Director and Head of Telecommunications, IT, Media, Electronics and Financial Services for the Nordic Region. During the last six years for Arthur D. Little he has also served as Global Head of Marketing Financial Services and Global Head of Competence Centre Operational Excellence Telecommunications.
Erik has successfully concluded more than 100 consulting assignments during his career and his projects have had a particular focus on operational excellence, business transformation and the impact of ICT on society. Most of Erik's work has been on behalf of European and Middle East telecoms operators including several large-scale business transformations saving hundreds of millions of pounds in recurring EBITDA.
He has conducted pioneering empirical research into the effects of broadband roll-out on the wider economy, which received recognition from industry leaders.
Erik will be based in our Dubai office and starts on 5 June 2012.
