Large order from the automotive industry for Adval Tech
The Uetendorf plant can utilize its existing stamping presses to manufacture the components for the brackets, and Adval Tech will invest in a new laser welding line for the assembly of the modules. The adoption of this new technology opens up further interesting opportunities for Adval Tech as a global supplier to the automotive industry.
The bracket of a steering column swivel lever is intended to ensure infinitely variable adjustment in terms of both length and height. Special features of the subassembly codesigned by Styner+Bienz are an infinitely adjustable clamping mechanism and a flexible energy absorption system. The newly developed bracket is also impressive for its small number of component parts as a result of skilful functional integration and the modular steering column concept, which enables a single type of steering column to be used for a wide range of vehicles.
